At 73yrs I can't be afraid of telling Tinubu truth He was born in 1952 and I was born in 1952— Ann Kio Briggs

Ann Kio Briggs, a human rights activist has stated that there is no anarchy in Rivers State and President Tinubu should not have imposed a state of emergency in the state

Speaking in a video shared by Symfoni TV, Briggs stated that at her age, she has no fear of speaking the truth, even to the president. She said that both she and Tinubu were born in 1952, so she sees no reason to be afraid of telling him the truth.

In Briggs' words: "I cannot be afraid at my age now at 73, I cannot be afraid of telling even President Tinubu that he is wrong because the president was born in 1952 and I was born in 1952. So I cannot be afraid to tell the president the truth. If other people are afraid to tell him the truth because he has appointed them I can understand that, but he hasn't appointed me. I am speaking on behalf of my people, my region, myself and my family. So please there is no anarchy anywhere in Rivers State"

Bishop Kukah — Israel, Trump Set To Act On Petition “To Let Biafra Go”

The debate over Nigeria’s unity and structure has once again taken center stage, with prominent political and religious figures calling for a reassessment of the country’s governance framework. Notable voices, including northern political elites and the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Hassan Kukah, have stressed the urgency of restructuring, either to allow for regional autonomy or to grant different regions the freedom to go their separate ways.

Bishop Kukah, a long-time advocate for justice and democratic governance, has been vocal about the need for a fair political system in Nigeria. He argued that the continuous cycle of violence, inequality and ethnic tensions makes it imperative for the country to either embrace true federalism or consider a peaceful separation of its diverse regions.

The growing insecurity across Nigeria, particularly in rural communities, has further fueled calls for restructuring. Many argue that certain groups have been given undue privileges, including unrestricted access to arms, while others face strict regulations. Concerns have also been raised about the perceived favoritism in law enforcement, with accusations that some groups operate above the law while others are subjected to severe crackdowns.

According to analysts, Nigeria’s current structure has led to imbalances, with some regions allegedly dominating political and economic power at the expense of others. The lingering marginalization, coupled with worsening security challenges, has strengthened the argument that the current governance system is unsustainable.

Proponents of restructuring insist that decentralizing power and granting more autonomy to states or regions would enable communities to manage their affairs effectively. They argue that such a move could help curb ethnic tensions, improve governance and address the longstanding grievances that have fueled separatist movements.

There is also an increasing push for self-determination among certain ethnic groups, who feel that their interests are not adequately represented in Nigeria’s political landscape. Advocates believe that gaining international support for their cause would accelerate their quest for sovereignty.

Nigeria's hopes of securing back-to-back victories in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers were dashed as they were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe.

After a strong 2-0 win over Rwanda in new head coach Eric Chelle’s debut match on Friday, the Super Eagles were expected to cruise past a struggling Zimbabwe side. However, they faced stiff resistance, with Zimbabwean goalkeeper Washington Arubi producing a series of impressive saves.

Despite their struggles, Nigeria eventually broke the deadlock when Victor Osimhen rose to head in Ola Aina’s cross, finally beating the in-form Arubi. The goal came after excellent hold-up play from Tolu Arokodare, who set up Aina for the decisive delivery.

Zimbabwe, sitting at the bottom of Group C following a 2-2 draw with Benin, were missing key players, including captain Marvelous Nakamba. Yet, they showed resilience and character. Michael Nees' side had already demonstrated their fighting spirit against Benin, and they proved it again with a late equalizer.

In stoppage time, Tawanda Chirewa weaved through Nigeria’s defense and slotted the ball under goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, snatching a crucial point for Zimbabwe.

Chelle fielded an unchanged XI, having dismissed injury concerns over Osimhen and Bright Osayi-Samuel. However, despite a full-strength squad, Nigeria was unable to close out the win, leaving them with work to do in their qualification campaign.

The result leaves Nigeria in a tricky position as they look to secure a spot in next summer’s finals.

FULL-TIME HND GRADUATES CLEARED FOR NYSC MOBILIZATION:

FULL-TIME HND GRADUATES CLEARED FOR NYSC MOBILIZATION: MINISTER OF EDUCATION ANNOUNCES RESOLUTION The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, is pleased to announce the resolution of the long-standing issue regarding the mobilization of Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Following a dialogue with the Director-General of NYSC, the Minister confirmed that only full-time HND graduates are eligible and can now proceed with their mobilization. This development marks a significant breakthrough for full-time HND graduates who were previously excluded from the NYSC program. It underscores the Federal Ministry of Education’s commitment to equity, fairness, and inclusivity in the nation’s education system. However, those who did HND part-time are not eligible for mobilization at all. To facilitate a seamless mobilization process, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has been directed to expedite the collation of data for eligible HND graduates. In line with this, a circular has been sent to all Rectors of Polytechnics, instructing them to upload the necessary graduate data onto the newly created HND admission portal. Dr. Alausa emphasized that NYSC mobilization is strictly for those who completed a full-time HND program, stressing that only full-time HND graduates will be mobilized, while those who did HND part-time remain ineligible. He further disclosed that the newly created portal will ensure proper documentation of full-time HND graduates and serve as the official database for NYSC mobilization, addressing past challenges related to admission records. The Honourable Minister urges all eligible full-time HND graduates to take full advantage of this opportunity and proceed with their mobilization without delay. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to fostering equal opportunities for all qualified Nigerian graduates and ensuring their contributions to national development through the NYSC scheme.

Breaking: Fubara Speaks After Suspension As Governor, Reveals Next Move

Breaking: Fubara Speaks After Suspension As Governor, Reveals Next Move

In a dramatic move, President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday evening declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, citing the need to restore law and order in the state.
The declaration, made during a nationwide broadcast, saw the suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and all elected members of the Rivers State House of Assembly for an initial six months.

As part of the emergency measures, Tinubu nominated retired Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas as the administrator to take charge of the state’s affairs.

In response to the suspension, Governor Fubara called for calm and unity in a statement he signed addressing the people of Rivers State, according to Punch.

“We will engage with all relevant institutions to ensure that our democracy remains strong and that Rivers State continues to thrive,” he said.

The suspended governor reflected on the challenges faced during his tenure, stating that despite the political crisis, he had always prioritized the well-being of Rivers people.

Fubara explained that all his actions and decisions had been in line with his constitutional duties, emphasizing that even amid the political impasse, his focus remained on the protection of lives and property, and advancing the state’s progress.

He blamed members of the Rivers State House of Assembly loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, for frustrating his efforts to comply with the Supreme Court’s ruling.

“At every turn, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly frustrated our efforts, thus making genuine peace and progress difficult,” he said.

The governor reiterated that despite the ongoing political disagreements, governance in the state continued. “Good governance had continued, salaries have been paid, and great projects were being executed to move the state forward,” he added.

He also assured that Rivers State remains “safe, secure, and peaceful under our watch.”

Despite the turbulence, Fubara urged Rivers people to remain peaceful and law-abiding in this critical period. “At this critical time, I urge all Rivers people to remain peaceful and law-abiding. We will engage with all relevant institutions to ensure that our democracy remains strong and that Rivers State continues to thrive,” he stated.

The governor ended his message by urging the people of Rivers to continue facing the situation with wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith in the democratic process, emphasizing the resilience of the state’s citizens in the face of adversity

C&S Unification Disowns Viral ‘Bishop Anointing’ Video, Condemns Idolatrous Practices.

C&S Unification Disowns Viral ‘Bishop Anointing’ Video, Condemns Idolatrous Practices.

Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has strongly condemned a viral video circulating on social media, which depicts an alleged anointing of a ‘Bishop’ by a self-acclaimed church elder.

The church has distanced itself from the individuals involved, emphasizing that they are not members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria and do not represent its doctrines or values.

In a statement addressing the controversy, the church expressed deep dismay over the disturbing content of the video, describing it as “horrific” and “despicable before God and man.” The church noted that while it would not ordinarily respond to such incidents, it was compelled to speak out due to the mention of its revered founder, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase, and the unauthorized use of C&S symbols in the video.

Following an internal investigation, the church identified the main figure in the video as one Alfred Oluwasegun Okikiola Ogunnusi, who refers to himself as “His Eminence Baba Aladura LAHOJAH.” The anointing ceremony reportedly took place in Ogijo, Ogun State, while the man being anointed, known as Benjamin (also called Ajigbo), is said to operate a makeshift ‘church’ in Adamo, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The church rejected Ogunnusi’s biblical justification for the act, where he referenced Genesis 48:10, stating that his interpretation was flawed and misrepresented the Holy Scriptures. The church also clarified that it strictly abhors idolatrous practices, which were flagrantly displayed in the viral video.
Furthermore, the church addressed common misconceptions regarding white-garment churches, emphasizing that not all individuals dressed in white are members of the C&S organization. “It is easy for anyone to purchase white garments and claim affiliation, but true members of the Unification Church are recognized by the church leadership,” the statement read.

The church accused the individuals in the video of attempting to exploit the name of St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase for personal gain, warning that merely invoking his name does not confer legitimacy or membership in the organization.

Additionally, the Unification Church disowned a man in the video seen wearing a garment bearing its official logo, stressing that he was neither a recognized member nor authorized to wear the emblem. Reaffirming its stance against the controversial anointing, the Unification Church declared:

“We strongly abhor idolatrous practices, and we reject and condemn their satanic and gayish acts in its entirety. As a church, we anoint our members with olive oil ONLY and baptize through immersion in WATER, not the other way around.”

The church urged the public to disregard the viral video and the actions of those involved, calling for a collective condemnation of their misleading and unholy acts.

Read the full statement below:
VEXATIOUS ANOINTING OF A BISHOP BY A SELF-ACCLAIMED CHURCH ELDER: OUR VIEW

The attention of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has been drawn to a video circulating on social media which content has sent shock waves among followers of Christ in Nigeria and in the entire global community.

The video in question depicts a horrific scene where the actors, who purport to be followers of Christ, apparently while performing the ordination of a ‘Bishop’, displayed an act despicable before God and man.

The Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria (the umbrella body for all sons and daughters of St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase) would not have dignified these characters with a word of reaction, but for the audible mention of the name of the founder of our church and the visible display of symbols associated with our church in the video.

Though the lead character in the video has since ‘clarified’ his abominable action in another video also now circulating on social media, It may interest people to note that all the characters in the viral video are NOT known members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, which regulates all acts and conducts of member churches in the Cherubim & Seraphim organisation.

Upon investigation, we gathered that the lead character (who was anointing a ‘Bishop’) in the video calls himself in his latest video message as His Eminence Baba Aladura Alfred Oluwasegun Okikiola Ogunnusi (LAHOJAH).
We also gathered that the purported anointing was conducted somewhere at Ogijo area of Ogun State and the man being anointed is identified as Benjamin a.k.a. Ajigbo (who is said to be an Edo State-born self-acclaimed prophet) and who has a makeshift ‘church’ at Adamo area of Ikorodu, in Lagos State.

In defence of his vexatious ‘ordination’, the man Ogunnusi quoted Genesis 48:10 – “Now Israel’s eyesight was poor because of old age; he could hardly see. Joseph brought his sons to him, and his father kissed them and embraced them.” The anointer likened himself to Israel who was said to be advanced in age and could hardly see clearly before he kissed his sons and embraced them. (For sure, the biblical Israel could not have done such an abominable act as was seen in the viral video while ‘kissing’ his children.

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of people that are not members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church, our church strictly abhors idolatry practices which was flagrantly on display in the video.
First and foremost, it is sad that people misconstrue anyone in white clothing for members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church. There are other, albeit reputable, Christian denominations whose members are clad in white garments such as ours. Our church has always highlighted this fact that it is easy for anyone to enter into a market place and procure a white clothing material and give it out to a tailor to sow for him or her and hence use that to claim they are members of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church organisation. It should be clear to the Christian community worldwide and general public that all recognised members of the Cherubim & Seraphim organisation are known to and recognised by the leadership of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria.
Inversely, it is clear that these characters probably loved to be identified with a white-garmented church such as ours by cladding in such apparel, but they refused to come into the Unification Church fold because they could not shriek themselves of their idolatry practices.

Secondly, the mention of Moses Orimolade Tunolase in the viral video depicts that these characters understood the spiritual prowess of the founder of our church and knew that they could use his name to gain followership from unsuspecting members of the public. So, while we will not stop anyone from calling on the name of our founder to seek the face of God, it is our belief that Moses Orimolade Tunolase’s pedigree would be better appreciated when those calling his name worship God in the beauty of His Holiness. Therefore, the public is urged to understand that, the fact that someone calls on the name of the founder of our church, in no way, makes such person a member of the Church – after all, all non-Jews from across the world call on the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ – without having any affinity with the Israelites.

Thirdly, one of the cohorts of the said Lahojah in the video (holding a microphone) adorned a garment with the official logo of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria boldly emboldened in it. We wish to state categorically here that just as is the case with the garments these characters wore, the man with the logo on his garment is neither a Seraph nor was he authorised to put on the official logo of our church by any tier of the body of Christ. These are impostors parading themselves as Seraphs of which they are not.

In the light of the above, the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria wishes to distance itself from these characters seen in that viral video and their despicable act.
We, as a church, strongly abhor idolatry practices which these people displayed in the said video. We reject and condemn their satanic and gayish acts in its entirety.
As a church, we anoint our members with olive oil ONLY and we baptise our members through immersion in WATER and not the other way round. Carrying out this unholy act quoting from the Holy Bible was surely a misappropriation and lack of knowledge of the Word of God.

We urge the general public to disregard these characters as they are NOT Seraphs and their action MUST be collectively condemned squarely.

Signed.
Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria.

The primary purpose of Mercy Land is to serve as a prayer ground. Each time people come to pray, mercy prevails, regardless of the situation.

The ICOP Bulletin and magazine cornered mercy land vigil coordinator prophet Ralp Adeyemi, he was interviewed about the vigil, challenges and what can be done to eradicate it.
By Pro Adetunbi Olufemi

Bulletin :Good morning, sir. My name is Prophet Adetunbi Olufemi,
ICOP bulletin and magazine. Can I meet you, sir?
Good morning. God bless you in Jesus' name. My name is
Prophet Ralph Adeyemi.

Thank you, sir. Briefly, who is Ralph Adeyemi?

Glory to the Lord God Almighty. At the grassroots level, I am a
branch leader of C&S Movement Church, Orisun Ayo Ile Anu Temi, under Red Street. At
the conference level, I serve in the prophetic ministry as the secretary to the clerk staff of
the ICOP Secretariat, International Council of Prophets Secretariat.

Bulletin:  You are in charge of the night vigil of CSMC ICOP? How has it been organizing
people, and how is the Ministry of Vigil progressing?

Prophet Ralph Adeyemi: Glory to the Lord God Almighty. We bless the name of the Lord,
especially for the grace given to the ministry. The prophetic ministry of the church is
growing, and we pray that the gates of hell will never prevail against it in Jesus' name.
First, let me speak briefly about the beginning of the vigil. There is a place called Prayer
Ground or Mercy Land of Horeb, supervised by the Ministry of the Prophets, ICOP in
Galilee. The primary purpose of Mercy Land is to serve as a prayer ground. Each time
people come to pray, mercy prevails, regardless of the situation. Glory to the Lord.
Years ago, vigils and programs were held there. However, with the inception of the current
conference supervising prophet, our father, Special Apostle Dr. Prophet Joel Olayinka
Adeniran, one of his missions for the church is ensuring that the fire of the Spirit of God on
the altar is never quenched. Thus, continuous prayers must take place at Mercy Land,
leading to the establishment of the Monthly Prophetic Power Night.
The Monthly Prophetic Power Night is held every third Friday of the month, regardless of
the date or any other program. We invite different ministers of God from our various
districts, parishes, and branches, especially those from Ilorin, Ogbomosho, Rore Districts,
and the International Headquarters. It is mandatory for members from these places to
attend the program.
Ministers from these districts, as well as invited ministers, participate. This program is led
by the conference supervising prophet and the Council General Secretary,  Special
Apostle Dr. Prophet Joel Olayinka Adeniran (CSP), and  Special Apostle Prophet A.A.
Ogunsakin (Secretary)

Bulletin : Thank you, sir.
Can you reflect on your role as secretary to the CSP and
head of the vigil at Mercy Land? What challenges do you face, and what improvements do
you suggest?

Prophet Ralph Adeyemi: God bless you, sir. I give God all the glory for His goodness.
Most programs, at the initial stage, face similar challenges. However, given the structure of
this ministry, some challenges should not exist.
One major challenge is that many of our district leaders and parish ministers scheduled to
minister sometimes fail to notify us of their absence in advance. The program starts, and
just a few minutes to the program, we realize that the assigned district representative is not present.
Thank God we always have alternative ministers available from Ilorin District, Ogbomosho
District, Galilee, and the International Headquarters, but ideally, such occurrences should
be avoided.
For example, if the Bible reading is assigned to Spring District, we cannot prepare another
minister in advance. If both prepare, it creates confusion. Thus, we do not prepare
alternatives ahead of time.
Another challenges is that many district supervising prophets and parish coordinators have
yet to fully embrace the vision. This program belongs to the prophetic council of the CSMC world wide,
They should include it in District /Branches, announcements. If a member from a Lagos church is
traveling to Ilorin or Ogbomosho, hearing about the program may encourage them to
attend. However, due to a lack of awareness, participation is often lower than expected.
Additionally, the program is financed by ICOP, but we need more financial support. Apart
from district supervisors and parish coordinators, individuals can contribute by sowing
seeds into the program. It is disheartening when a major ICOP vigil struggles with
inadequate sound systems. We are grateful to a few individuals who rent equipment for us,
but proper awareness and financial support are necessary.
Various churches, units, such as the media unit, ICT unit, and vision recorders, should also
actively participate. I am not sure if they expect the CSP and Secretary to compel them, but
they should voluntarily bring their expertise. Even if they do not have personal equipment,
members of these units in the vicinity should be required to attend.
Financial assistance would also help us improve. When we invite different ministers,
sometimes there is little or no honorarium. At times, we struggle to buy fuel. These are
some of the challenges we face.
Despite these challenges, we witness testimonies every month, confirming that God is
present in our midst. The Bible says, "Come and see." When people experience the
program, they witness the glory of God. However, we must put in all the necessary effort to
make it successful. God bless you.

Bulletin: Briefly, can you tell us how you rose to this level and describe
your relationship with the CSP and General Secretary?

Prophet Ralph Adeyemi: Glory to God Almighty. When the CSP arrived, he met with the
executives and other colleagues. Given the size and influence of the International Council
of Prophets, we hoped to establish a secretariat where someone would always be available
to attend to people’s needs. That was when this office was created. At its inception, there
was a mini awareness campaign—not widely publicized in newspapers but shared
internally. I was informed that interested individuals should apply. By the grace of God, with
my education, experience, and qualifications, I applied. After the interview, I was given the
job.
Regarding my relationship with Baba Ogunshakin, the Council General Secretary—he has
been a wonderful man of God, a generous mentor. Knowing him and getting closer to him
has been a blessing. I first got to know him during the tenure of the former CSP when I was
facing challenges in my place at Orilegbon. I told prophet Adeniran (now CSP) that I needed prophets to
pray for me to discern God’s will. At that time, CSP Adeniran was the financial secretary,
and he informed pro Ogunshakin, who then invited me.
During a CWC meeting attended by Pro Zacheaus Emmanuel,(former CSP ) Pro Oduwaye, and
several others, Pro Ogunshakin asked them to pray for me and reveal God’s mind
concerning my situation. Since then, they have been wonderful mentors.
Now, regarding the CSP, he has been a father to me, and we are related in many ways.
First, he is my father-in-law—my wife is from the same area as the CSP. He is one of the
people to whom God gave the vision of planting a church in Orilegbon, even before he
foresaw his future role. When God instructed him to start a church, it happened within a
week.
Back when the church started in Omu-Aran, I was fortunate to minister during a week-long
program. Since then, I have been followed him closely. At a point, we faced challenges and
prayed about them. Instead of praying directly for us, he (CSP) reminded us of what the Bible
says about heeding God's instructions. I told him I was unsure what God was saying. He
then told me, “God says you should stop going up and down and start a church.”
He advised me to confirm this with other men of God. He even prayed that God would
reveal it to others so they would call me without knowing. To my surprise, someone from
Offa called, JAD Ajayi from Abuja called, and Moses Labade from Ogbomosho called—all of them are
saying the same thing: “God said you should start a church.”
We tried to set our own timeline, but God does not work on human schedules. That was
when we started. Initially, we were under the City of David, but when God instructed us to
relocate, It revealed that  we should go to Rore District. However, he
hesitated to tell us because he was an officer there and didn’t want us to think he was trying
to place us under his authority. Ever since, we have been with him, and God has been
faithful.
He is a mentor, a father, and a father-in-law. I want to say that he is everything and truly
God-sent to us.

The primary purpose of Mercy Land is to serve as a prayer ground. Each time people come to pray, mercy prevails, regardless of the situation. Glory to the Lord.

the altar is never quenched.

NGIJ Felicitates with President Tinubu, Nigerian Muslims on Ramadan

NGIJ Felicitates with President Tinubu, Nigerian Muslims on Ramadan

... Seeks Divine Intervention for Press Freedom, National Stability

The Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) has extended warm Ramadan greetings to the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the entire Nigerian Muslim Ummah, and Muslims across the world, praying for peace, stability, and national prosperity.

In a statement signed by the President of the Guild, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan, and made available to journalists on Saturday in Abuja, NGIJ described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and devotion, urging Muslims to use the opportunity to pray for Nigeria’s progress, unity, and good governance.

The Guild emphasized the importance of turning to God in prayers, especially during challenging times.

The Guild prayed for the leadership of the country, asking Allah (SWT) to grant President Tinubu and all those in positions of authority the wisdom, strength, and sincerity to govern with fairness and justice. It also urged the general public to embrace peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and nation-building, emphasizing that Nigeria’s socioeconomic and political revival requires both collective commitment and divine intervention.

In line with its dedication to press freedom and justice, NGIJ used the blessed month of Ramadan to call on God for divine intervention in the plight of journalists facing persecution for upholding truth and accountability. The Guild specifically raised concern over the incarceration of journalists currently languishing in the Ikoyi Correctional Centre over a Cyberstalking case involving GTCO and its Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Segun Agbaje.

The Guild decried the continuous clampdown on press freedom, describing it as a threat to democracy and fundamental human rights. It urged the Nigerian government, stakeholders, and the judiciary to protect journalists from undue harassment, intimidation, and wrongful imprisonment.

The Guild urged well-meaning Nigerians, legal advocates, and human rights defenders to speak up against the suppression of investigative journalism, which remains a vital pillar of democracy and accountability as well as coming to the rescue and freedom of the incarcerated Journalists.

NGIJ called on Muslims to use Ramadan as a time to strengthen their faith, renew their commitment to truth and justice, and contribute positively to national development. The Guild reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to ethical journalism, social justice, and upholding the principles of free speech and investigative reporting.

As Nigeria navigates economic, security, and political challenges, NGIJ prayed for God’s mercy and devine intervention.

The Guild concluded by praying for the Muslim Ummah, asking Allah (SWT) to grant all believers good health, spiritual fulfillment, and abundant rewards during this holy month of Ramadan.
