Oyo : After Saying He Will Spill Blood, He Started His Car & Zoomed Into 10 Of His Friends, 5 Died -Police

Some hours ago, the punch Newspaper reported how five people lost their lives at a party organized by a group of friends at Akinmori in Afijio Local Government area of Oyo State.Photo used for illustrative purpose only. 

A source that spoke to Punch Metro, who was present at the scene said, “the misunderstanding began when one of the organizers was scolded by his friends for driving into the venue of the party on high speed. Angrily, he said he will spill blood. After saying so, he started his car and zoomed into ten (10) of his friends who were dancing and five (5) among them later died.” These statements were confirmed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO); Adewale Osifeso.

When asked if no one attempted to settle the dispute in the first place, the source said, “some elders intervened at first and he calmly entered his car until he suddenly became angry.”

The PPRO lastly noted that further investigations are underway regarding the incident. He added, “we will keep updating the public.”
