Man Struggles As He Is Stopped From Jumping Into Third Mainland Bridge Lagoon
A video making the rounds on social media has shown the moment an unidentified man was stopped from jumping into the Third Mainland Bridge Lagoon in Lagos.
In the short clip, the man is seen fearlessly sitting quietly on the balustrade of the bridge while looking into the Lagoon
In a bid to stop the man from carrying out his act, some men slowly approach him before grabbing and pulling him off the balustrade.
He is seen struggling but the men succeeded in pulling him off the railing.
Naija News recalls that some months back a Department of State Service (DSS) staff identified as Adetutu Adedokun jumped into the Lagoon after receiving a call from her fiancee.
Adedokun was said to be an unarmed combat instructor. It was also said that she recently got engaged.
Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu revealed that the lady came down from a taxi on the bridge and jumped into the lagoon after a heated argument with her fiancee.
He said, “Further investigation revealed that the lady alighted from an Uber taxi car on the bridge and plunged into the lagoon.
”The driver of the taxi claimed she was having a heated conversation with her fiancé before alighting from the car.”
