IGP I'm Alive Because You're One Of Those Who Kept Me Alive When I Was Under House Arrest -Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has stated that when he was placed under house arrest in 1995 some individuals played key roles in ensuring his safety and well-being. He stated that Olatunji Disu, the current Inspector-General of Police, was one of the people contributed to keeping him alive during that period.
In a video shared by TV Platinum, Obasanjo said he felt it was important to publicly acknowledge and appreciate IGP Disu for what he did for him
Speaking further, Obasanjo said Nigeria needs state police to improve security. He said state police will understand communities better and can respond faster to crimes and threats across the country
In Obasanjo's words: "Current IGP, I have to in a special way acknowledge you because maybe the reason I am alive today is because you are one of those who kept me alive when I was under house arrest"
