Ile ife celebrate yearly Olojo festival

The ancient town witnessed crowd from all Walk of life,all part of the cradle town was full of joy seeing both Nigeria and diasporas, tourists, journalist, artist including NGIJ, witnessed this year festival,all hotels both inside the town and nearby town hardly contain the visitors,

Olojo festival contain many department which combine all ife indigen to be part of the festival,first is the seclusion of the imperial majesty Oonirisa, Enitan,Ogunwusi Adeyeye, follow by Oke mogun,each with the family compound, have to follow up the doctrine of their family in-line with traditional rite,(Ilagun)by Osogun compound who performed supremacy with deity of begging gods to use rain to forfeit the day for Ooni,Ooni in his return is to use his second to God spiritual authority to put the rain to nearby town or stop the rain.

Then okemogun comprises all ife to witnessed this rite and pray fervently to avert any bad omage and Ooni will pray for the peace of Ile ife and Nigeria and indeed the whole world,all Yoruba gods representative and kings join him to pray,son's and families of royal compound are in uniform clothes to celebrate with him,the third day marks the visiting of the Ooni to her ancestral home, Ooni arrived at home to the hands of the family compound, greetings with crowd and sounds of gunshots,he offered prayer and settled any inferences,pray, harmonize and proceed to his father's house before returning to palace and attend to visitors.
