Paid Agents Behind Vicious Attacks On Ogunewe, Imo AA Guber Candidate- Elder Ahaneku

The Chairman of Action Alliance, AA, Imo State chapter, Chief Uchendu  Ahaneku ( Inine Isu Gburugburu) has accused those he described as paid agents of being responsible for the vicious attacks being launched against  Major General Lincoln Ogunewe(retd).

General Ogunewe is the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the state.

Speaking with newsmen weekend, Ahaneku observed that the coming on board of the People’s General has turned around the fortune of the party as men and women of goodwill who want Imo State to regain her lost glory were desirous of having Ogunewe govern the state.

He therefore urged Ndi Imo to rally round him and resist every campaign of calumny especially from paid agents of darkness.

Ahaneku said; “Major General Lincoln Jack Ogunewe rtd, is the verified candidate of the Action Alliance AA for the governorship election of the 11th November 2023 and with the collective bargaining and inputs of Ndi Imo.

“He has good character, competence, capacity, track record, humility and fear of God.  Chief Kenneth Obidiche Udeze (Ononobi Ideato) and Chief Uchendu D.A Ahaneku are the party’s national and Imo State chairmen respectively,

“You can verify it on INEC website. I therefore warn paid agents of darkness parading as members and candidate of the party to steer clear of Imo State. Imo people are already in the know of whose agent they are, hence their collective resolve to join hands with Major. Gen. Ogunewe for the reset Imo for the path of peace and economic recovery, growth and stability”.

Ahaneku explained that the retired soldier emerged candidate at the party’s substitution primary poll held on May 24, 2023.

According to him Ogunewe’s entry into the gubernatorial race in Imo State has since changed the narrative as majority of Ndi Imo are in jubilant mood and could not wait to rally round him to bring to an end the tyrannical leadership in Imo State.

He regretted that Imo State has been torn apart by insecurity which has reached an unprecedented level never seen in the state.

Chief Ahaneku insisted that under Ogunewe’s watch, Imo State shall be returned to the path of peace, economic recovery and stability.  

Recall that the National Chairman of the AA, Chief Kenneth Obidiche Udeze, alongside other national executives of the party who conducted the substitution gubernatorial primaries in Imo State had described Ogunewe as a man ordained by God to restore Imo State on the path of peace.

Chief Udeze, a lawyer while handing over the party’s certificate of return to Ogunewe asserted that he was sure Ogunewe would deliver the state from the claws and jaws of her adversaries.

He gave a thumb up to the party’s former candidate, Engr. Augustine Anyaegbusim who formally withdrew his candidacy to pave way for the ‘People’s General’.
