Imo Disabled Group Declare support for Gen Ogunewe Election.

Ahead of the Imo November, 11 governorship election, the Special People Living with Disability in Imo State, has endorsed Gen Lincoln Ogunewe, the governorship Candidate of Action Alliance (AA) promising to mobilize massive voting for him during the election.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the state Chairman, Engr Kenneth Igwegbe, informed newsmen that they are happy to identify with the retired Major General during the flag-off of his campaign in Owerri.
"We have understudied your manifesto and we know you have a good plan for the people of the state. We came to align with your vision, and we want to collaborate with you for a better, functional and robust economic system in the state.”
The group further extolled Gen Ogunewe manifesto and statement of purpose to Imo people, saying it would revolutionize the entire sector in the state if implemented to the letter and address the problem of insecurity.
While restating their commitment to key into the project and spread the message in the manifesto, the group said they had already taken steps to organize and work out skill acquisition and development centers across the 27 councils of the state.
Igwegbe noted that the people living with disability need empathy and not sympathy, pointing out that they will give Gen Ogunewe 100 per cent support during the Governorship elections.
He said Gen Ogunewe from all ramification is believed to be the best among those jostling to be governor of the state. He went on to commend Gen Ogunewe for looking out for his members to identifying and partner with them for a better Imo State of our dream.
He further commended the Gen Ogunewe for his benevolence and believed his promises to adopt an all inclusive government with Imo Disabled will be achievable.
According to the award winning engineer, " We are proud to associate with you, the association’s belief in your capacity, honestly the leadership qualities".
In his response, Gen Ogunewe, commended them for their timely support and promised to take the group as partners in his Reset Imo mantra and encouraging them to use their vote to vote out bad governance.
He was encouraged by their determination to brush up their skills to be relevant in the society, disclosing that he would appoint a Special Assistant on the People Living with Disability when he comes to power.
