DROP YOUR AMBITIONS NOW AND SUPPORT GEN OGUNEWE, 

IF YOU TRULY LOVE IMO STATE

     _Group implores Imo Guber   Candidates_ 

As the November 11th, the date selected for the conduct of Imo state governorship election draws closer, a well known, but non Political socioocultural group, Good Governance for Economic Developments (GOGED), Imo State chapter has devoid of prejudiced over the weekend in Owerri, the Imo State capital appealed  to all the candidates of Political Parties  contesting against the Imo State born retired Major General, Gen Jack Lincoln Ogunewe for state number one seat to drop their ambitions and support him.

This was contained in their communique after their general meeting held in Owerri last weekend.

 The meeting which was massively attended produced the communique which was massively signed by the members drawn from the 27 Local Governments Area of Imo State.

Among whom are, Comr Chikereuba Kingsley Onwuadimma, the state coordinator, Mr Cyril Chimdi Onyendu, the secretary, Obika Mercy Okaka, The PRO, etc.and was made available to the newsmen.

The group  made it clear that Imo state has suffered what they described as _unfathomable_ pains in the hands of mediocre/selfish people who parade themselves as Political leaders, and declared that it's time to call a spade a spade.

The group stated that having meticulosly scrutinized the personalities of all the candidates in relation to the current challenges facing our dear state, there is non of the candidates who possesses the quality and capabilities to tackle the problems except Maj Gen LKJ Ogunewe Rtd.

In view of the above, the group has dispassionately  left with no option than to call on all the successfully shortlisted guber candidates including the incumbent, His Excellency Gov Hope Uzodimma, the present Governor of Imo State, to honourably drop their ambitions and throw their _support_ behind Gen Ogunewe to become the next Governor of Imo State.

The group further call on the Imo people home and abroad to make their individual contributions, moral and or otherwise towards the emancipation of Imo State from the shackles of insecurity and socioeconomic depreciation before it's  late.
