Adeleke's Victory In The Election Saved Me From Palace Eviction - Ataoja Of Osogbo Reveals.
Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, the Ataoja of Osogbo, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, the People's Democratic Party's nominee for governor of Osun State in last Saturday's election, on his victory.
Speaking to Adeleke and his supporters in his palace, Oba Oyetunji also said that he had received eviction threats from unnamed parties.
It will be recalled that during Adeleke's visit to Ataoja prior to the governorship election, the monarch, in response to the alleged attack on some PDP members who were coming to welcome their party's candidate, had cursed the individuals responsible for the politically motivated attacks in the town.
Some members of the community were offended by the royal father's outburst and accused him of being partisan.
But Ataoja described himself as fortunate that Adeleke won because he could have been driven out of the palace with a broom. He was speaking in a brief video clip that was captured during the Governor-visitation elect's to him.
The video's Yoruba-speaking Ataoja added, "My preaching to my son, who is now my boss, is simple: May you succeed in your position. I'm stating this out loud for everyone to hear. Tell them I'm happy; let them know. Imagine them telling me they will remove me from this palace with their brooms and canes.
