The Man Arrested For Kidnapping In Ekiti State Was A Member Of A Peace Committee – Olayinka
Th media aide to former Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, Lere Olayinka has stated that the Fulani man, Alhaji Abashe Adamu who was arrested by the men of the Ekiti State Police Command is one of the members Farmers-Herders Peace Committee.
The Peace Committee was inaugurated by Ekiti State Governor, John Kayode Fayemi on the 21st of January, 2021 to find a long-lasting solution to the incessant clashes between farmers and herders in the state.
Alhaji Abashe Adamu was arrested by the police for allegedly being involved in kidnapping and collecting ransom from victims.
Lere Olayinka, who shared photos of Abashe Adamu when he was inaugurated last year stated that one of those who was paraded with him, Ibrahim Toyin Mumuni was a one-time councillor in the Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State adding that Mumuni is Abashe's translator and Personal Assistant.
