APC National Chairman's Reply On TV When Ask If His Party Will Accept The Result In Osun State
Call it coincidence or not, but barely hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC declared Ademola Adeleke of the PDP, winner of the Osun State election that was held on Saturday, the APC National Chairman, Adamu Abdullahi was live on Arise TV this morning to discuss the issue going on in his party.
When the presenter of Arise TV News said he was surprised that Adamu was just hearing the result for the first time despite INEC announcing PDP the winner after they had 17 LGA out of 30 in Osun State and APC winning 17 as there was a live formal TV announcement from INEC, the APC National Chairman replied between him and the presenter, he has not formally the receipt from INEC and he hasn't read the papers also. He also revealed he hadn't spoken to the APC candidate in Osun.
With that, the second presenter from Arise TV came in saying they have spoken to the people of Osun State and contrary to him saying he hasn't heard, the official tally was 403, 375 to 375,027 votes and if it is confirmed by the APC National Chairman satisfaction of the official outcome of the election, would his party, APC accepts defeat in Osun?.
The National Chairman replied saying" he doesn't like remitting the situation and if they are patient enough, they would agree with him that they should wait for him to get the results and then get back to him which by then, would be willing to talk to them about it until he hears from INEC formally confirming the results, he would then, of course, abide by it.
